About H Mart Cary
A heritage of quality food, catches on quick. We are H Mart, short for "Han Ah Reum," which just happens to mean "One Arm Full of Groceries." We're an Asian-inspired supermarket started in 1982 in Queens, New York. Despite our small beginnings, we have grown because of our continuous commitment to the freshest ingredients in all our offerings-while never forgetting that value is just as important. We hope our culture brings you new inspiration and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Asian grocery stores and supermarkets stock ingredients, snacks and household goods that general American supermarkets often do not carry, organized by category rather than by country of origin in most stores. Produce and live or fresh seafood sections are usually at the back or side of the store, and weekend mornings bring the largest crowds and freshest restock. Many larger Asian supermarkets include a hot deli or food court counter selling prepared meals by the pound or as fixed plates, useful for a quick lunch while shopping. Labels are frequently bilingual or untranslated, so store staff can usually help locate a specific ingredient if you ask. Cash, cards and mobile pay are all commonly accepted at larger chains; smaller specialty shops may be cash-preferred.

Cary is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Cary follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I love the wide array of food and products from Asia. You can have a meal from one of the food vendors before shopping, pick out fresh fruit, a new wok or fresh seafood.

Always try to make a stop at H Mart in Karey when weβre in town. The selection of fresh vegetables, meat, seafood is better than anywhere else you could go, the food court is awesome and highly recommended to check out prior to shopping, and if youβre there in the morning, you can head to the bakery or coffee shop, and grab a drink and a bite to eat. It is truly an experience going to H Mart. We love it!

i've been to a lot of asian grocery stores (and grocery stores in general) and this one is single-handedly the craziest one i've ever been to... in a great way, of course. the fish prep area did not smell like fish, just ocean; which means that the fish is fresh and the stations have been well-cleaned. a huge variety of fish and meat products, plus halal meats. meats were cut in front of you and were incredible quality for the price. there were so many options for groceries and produce and the banchan section was immaculate. food court was a bit pricy, but definitely worth it as i devoured a whole plate of fried pork belly and rice by myself in the food court (those servings are no joke)... of course, with boba and aiyu jelly. tous le jours was also a must, and i got some of their strawberry tiramisu which was delectable. i drove an hour and a half to come here and it was incredible. i'll always visit more local asian groceries first because local business is most important to support, but this is absolutely a great stop with a variety of options. staff were very friendly.

Mind blowing experience. I was told about this being a gourmet Korean / Asian market with a food court, and it exceeded all expectations. The variety of all the products you can't find in the states and the brand lines from Japan, Korea, etc are incredible shopping. If you go in the middle of a Saturday, you will meet a lot of people. You better have a budget and a plan, or financial ruin could be ahead along with an expanse of delicious finds. The scope of the dishes available in the food court are a food tour of Asia.
